Robert W. Miller, ASID
Robert W. Miller, ASID is a principal of Miller Design Co and previously owned Miller/Dolezal Design Group since 1995. Born in San Francisco, Miller studied at the Rudolph Schaefer School of Design. He was President of the Peninsula Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), served on the ASID National Board and Chairman of the ASID Designer Show Houses for eleven years. He revived that role for the ASID Designer Showcase 2003 in Atherton, California, a show house touted by the press as one of the finest in Northern California. He was a principal at Flegal’s Home Furnishings in Menlo Park, California before starting his own company. His new design studio in downtown Woodside showcases his style: classic, sophisticated interiors with a whimsical touch. Miller's exceptional work is evidenced in prominent homes throughout California, Australia, Hawaii, Montana, Shanghai and New York.
Jacob Scherer
At 17, Jacob Scherer started designing interiors and a home theater for clients in Santa Rosa. He fell in love with design and wanted to immerse himself in the industry and began to work at Beacon Hill Showroom at 18. He rose to top sales by 20 and left to work as a design assistant for Heather Kearsley in Sonoma, California (his home town) on an array of high end homes and hotels. At 25, he worked at Wroolie & Company in the San Francisco Design Center and started his interior design company, Marchisi. After four years, he started Da Lusso Design, one of the top home staging companies in the Peninsula and South Bay areas and got his real estate license. He still owns this company to date. He decided to partner with his long time friend, Robert W. Miller, ASID, to open Miller Design Co. and is working with several young successful clients bringing them fresh, stylish looks for their homes. Jacob helped renovate the new Miller Design Co. offices located in the heart of downtown Woodside.
