Robert W. Miller, ASID
Robert W. Miller, ASID is a principal of Miller Design Co and previously owned Miller/Dolezal Design Group since 1995. Born in San Francisco, Miller studied at the Rudolph Schaefer School of Design. He was President of the Peninsula Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), served on the ASID National Board and Chairman of the ASID Designer Show Houses for eleven years. He revived that role for the ASID Designer Showcase 2003 in Atherton, California, a show house touted by the press as one of the finest in Northern California. He was a principal at Flegal’s Home Furnishings in Menlo Park, California before starting his own company. His new design studio in downtown Woodside showcases his style: classic, sophisticated interiors with a whimsical touch. Miller's exceptional work is evidenced in prominent homes throughout California, Australia, Hawaii, Montana, Shanghai and New York.
Jacob Scherer
Jacob Scherer started working with his first clients designing interiors and a home theater for clients in Santa Rosa. He fell in love with design and wanted to immerse himself in the industry. Jacob began working in the San Francisco Design district designing custom furniture and working with designers to create unique one of a kind projects. After years of working in the manufacturing side Jacob accepted a position as assistant for Heather Kearsley of Kearsley Design in Sonoma, California. Together they worked on an array of high-end homes and hotels. At 25, Scherer worked at Wroolie & Company in the San Francisco Design Center and after four years, started one of the top home staging/design companies in the Peninsula and South Bay, Da Lusso Design, which he still owns to this date. Scherer has been working with several young successful clients and recently decided to partner with his long time friend, Robert W. Miller, ASID, to open Miller Design Co. Together they collaborated to construct the new Miller Design Co. design studio located in the heart of downtown Woodside.
